Bali
Sounds a little bit cliche, but Bali is a destination known and loved by many. People are making reservations way ahead of departure, just so they can enjoy themself on a few days on this beautiful island.
The island itself is regularly visited and it offers a little bit of everything. It has those big sandy beaches, and the water is warm and so clear that you can see all the stones and pebbles underneath it. You can swim and dive and explore the surroundings. Surfing is ideal since there are big waves that are waiting for you. Also, you can hike if that’s your thing. It’s a great activity that comes with an even greater reward- after a while, you will come to a hidden waterfall. Remember to grab your camera!
Lombok
Often compared to Bali, and called his laid-back sister. Lombok is an island worth visiting while you’re there if you’re looking for a more intimate atmosphere. It has many hidden gems inside it, making it a perfect place for adventure-seekers.
Lombok has beautiful beaches that are as beautiful as the ones in Bali, perfect for diving, surfing and snorkeling. You can just swim and relax in the water if that’s what you prefer. Many hikers come here to conquer Mount Rinjani, which has a beautiful blue lake on the very top.
The Gili islands
The Gili Islands are two small islands located in Indonesia: Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno, Gili Air. The first one, Gili Trawangan, is the biggest, and most modern one. It has tons of different seaside cafes and rich nightlife. The smaller one, Gili Meno, is more intimate and quiet, perfect for honeymoons. Gili Air is the right choice for a decent adrenaline rush. There is a whole different underworld hiding in the waters of Gili Air, waiting for you to discover them.
Even though the three Gili islands are totally different from one another, tourists can visit them all in one go, since they are close to each other and offer different kinds of activities. This is a great opportunity if you’re traveling with your significant other or with a close group of friends.
